Karunya Care Home - Daily Schedule

We have opened Karunya Care Home and have welcomed four residents on November 12th, 2023, coinciding with Deepavali (a popular local festival of lights). Sadly, three of these individuals were destitute, and abandoned by their families. The fourth lady lacked any form of support. As an institution dedicated to compassion and care, we have taken them under our wing, providing them with the nurturing environment they deserve. In addition to our core mission, we continue our services to include the provision of meals, clothing, and medical help to the poor elderly destitute in our community.

To ensure seamless functioning and quality service both in and outside the Care Home, we have made crucial appointments and procured essential items:

• One senior nurse

• One cook

• One helper

Daily Schedule

• 6:00 am: Rise and Silent Meditation and Music

• 7:30 am: Breakfast

• 9:00 am: Walking and other simple physical exercises

• 12:00 noon: Moment of Reflection and Prayer

• 12:30 pm: Nourishing Lunch followed by Siesta.

• 4:00 pm: Tea and Refreshments

• 7:00 pm: Evening Prayer

• 7:30 pm: Dinner followed by Recreation until 9:00 pm

We have invested on necessary equipment and amenities, encompassing kitchen supplies (cooking stove, utensils, cutlery etc.), furniture (dining table, beds, mattresses, pillows, couches, chairs etc.) and emergency medical supplies.
